Anyways, I've begun my month of insane travel, by braving 50 or so hours on various buses from Winnipeg, and am currently in DC. By September 8th, I should get my butt settled back in Budapest (where I shall remain until at least June 2009), but between then and now, I'll be passing through Baltimore, New York, various English airports and bus stations, random Portuguese and Spanish towns, and blasting through France, Belgium, Germany and Austria on a bus (or something like that). I'm not mentioning the over-the-border runs to Croatia to pick up my stuff... With the new laptop I can get some things done, finally (yay!) and now I can clean up the old one for things I can't do on Vista. Hopefully, I shall be a bit more productive in fannish and RL senses of the word in the fall once I feel less crazed...

I am actually typing this post from said new laptop (currently named TORCHWOOD for the lack of a better name) which is quite black, sleek and shiny! And has battery power! And doesn't freeze every time I move!

I've made it to Winnipeg after much traveling, but was immediately felled by a cold. Ick. I've mostly recovered, but am still feeling mildly blah, and today I managed to get hit by a soccer ball straight to the face which gave me a headache and cut my lip a bit. I still don't have any fannish updates, since my creativity seems to have shriveled up and died. This sucks a lot. I have a metric shitload of stuff to do, and no fricking idea how this all will be done. Another 2 months or so to go until uni starts up. Another month until I'm leaving, and then I won't see my boyfriend for more than two months. Urk.

Since most Torchwood and NCIS fanfic makes me go blind on contact, I need your help, o slashers! Does anyone have good recs for Gibbs/DiNozzo hurtcomfortyness or any nice Jack/Ianto (or even Jack/John/Ianto) post-eps for "Exit Wounds"? If you know of any other good fics in either fandom not fitting the criteria, feel free to rec them as well. Crossovers are welcome too!

Anyway, the play was fun! The theater was almost full, and David looked great - he was in good shape and his voice was quite nice! *swoon* Mike enjoyed the play as well - it was pretty engaging, and time flew by too quickly.

- It's been snowing half of the day.
- I got so carried away doing genealogy research (not even for me) that I missed my chance to have a bath.
- My bags have multiplied alarmingly.
- I'm taking the train/ferry/train tomorrow to Dublin with boyfriend.
- I don't have an apartment or a job there yet.
- Thus, I shall be somewhat offline until I can move in into some apartment.

In January and February I tried my hand at making slipper socks (or dorm boots) and made a pair for myself and a pair for debris_k, who pointed out that they look like Daleks.

I've gotten to England now after dragging my stuff over half of Europe, and am currently recuperating. I'll be undercover for a bit more, and hopefully will emerge from hiding around the time of my (25th) birthday... My computer conking out for a day and a half this week didn't help things. Anyways, sorry for being so quiet, but all the moving has just killed me, and I can't seem to gather enough brain cells to make head work most of the time. In other time, last House eppy was soooo slashy even boyfriend could see it even without me going "HOUSE AND WILSON ARE SOOOOO GAY" and I got to watch an episode of Torchwood with my boyfriend's 93-year old grandma. (Thankfully, no men were snogged by men during that episode. *gasp* My own grandma would probably like that, but she is about 20 years younger!) :-P
