As I was coming back from my sorta-2nd-anniversary-dinner with Mike, we were checking out menus of the various restaurants as we went in case we wanted to go out again in a few days. At this particular restaurant, I glanced at the menu, saw an interestingly named dessert item and laughed like a hyena all the way home.

The dessert I spotted was "Creep filled with Nutella".

I am searching for slash stories in any of my many fandoms (which are in my profile!) to analyze for my thesis. I am still looking for following types of stories:
- episode-related
- AU
- a good PWP
- a good story with no/little/barely mentioned sexy!time

Also, I need a few different stories in which subtext seen in the original is mentioned - for some unknown reason Starsky & Hutch and Torchwood come to mind, but if you know of any good stories in other fandoms, I am game!

I'm trying to list some shows with large-ish/important slash fandoms in my thesis... and since am probably forgetting some, I've decided to ask you all what you think. :-)

ETA: Of course I managed to forget to list the ones I had in mind, as I have the dumb today... anyways, they are:
Starsky & Hutch, Miami Vice, Wiseguy, Blake’s 7, The Professionals, From Eroica With Love, Quantum Leap, Highlander, X-Files, The Sentinel, Stargate SG-1, Smallville, Stargate Atlantis, House, Forever Knight, due South, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Queer as Folk, and Torchwood.

Daughter of the ETA: No RPS or femslash please, as I am focusing only on m/m slash. (I wish I could include it all, but then my thesis would never end... *sigh*)

Thank you everyone for helping me out! The answers I've got for the survey thing were very nice, and the book suggestions were very helpful too. :-) *hugs* I shall probably ask people for recs in a few days yet again when I finally figure out what I am writing about in the laast chapter.

(For the survey people who are still working on it - my thesis deadline is the 9th, so I need to have the whole thing done by about 5th so I can edit it, so anything sent by then is okay - in the worst case you won't be quoted, but will still be thanked for your help!)

My dear (Almost wrote "deer". I need sleep!) peeps - can you please rec me your favoritest evar quality stories in the following fandoms: From Eroica With Love, Wiseguy & Starsky & Hutch (older/zine stories if possible, pre-internet stuff is what I need the most right now), Stargate Atlantis (Harlequin challenge fics if possible, but anything else good goes too!), and Torchwood. Feel free to pimp your own. Also, if you know of anyone who can scan some early Star Trek slash stories for me, I desperately need them. I'd like shorter stories (my thesis probably will be shorter than a lot of fics out there...) but I'll take a look at the long ones too. I've read quite a lot in all the above-mentioned fandoms, but I cannot make up my mind about what story to choose...

Also, in an unrelated question for the M*A*S*H people - do you think it would be interesting to analyze M*A*S*H slash? I'm considering it, as it's an interesting little fandom. (Recs, self-pimping ones too, are quite welcome!)

If you know of a story in a zine that might be perfect for me and can scan it for me, I'd be forever grateful. My zines are being held hostage in the US due to USPS being a bitch and canceling the sea mail parcel service a few years ago.. :-(

I am writing a research paper on Jack Harkness (really!) and I need to mention a few bisexual male characters, but all my chocolate-fueled brain is coming up with now is Tim Bayliss from H:LotS. I particularly need some characters that are used as comedy fodder. If you have YouTube clips I'd love you forever. Uni orientation has ended, but the moment it did I got the flu/cold that's going around the department and went down for the count. Ugh. I have to read an equivalent of a large boring book on theory for my classes for the upcoming week(s), and I wish I could teleport myself elsewhere, somewhere less cold and lonely and more fun. I'm gonna stop here before this disintegrates into a whining session, because even I don't want to listen to myself whine today.

Anyways, I've begun my month of insane travel, by braving 50 or so hours on various buses from Winnipeg, and am currently in DC. By September 8th, I should get my butt settled back in Budapest (where I shall remain until at least June 2009), but between then and now, I'll be passing through Baltimore, New York, various English airports and bus stations, random Portuguese and Spanish towns, and blasting through France, Belgium, Germany and Austria on a bus (or something like that). I'm not mentioning the over-the-border runs to Croatia to pick up my stuff... With the new laptop I can get some things done, finally (yay!) and now I can clean up the old one for things I can't do on Vista. Hopefully, I shall be a bit more productive in fannish and RL senses of the word in the fall once I feel less crazed...

I have new laptop!

I've made it to Winnipeg after much traveling, but was immediately felled by a cold. Ick. I've mostly recovered, but am still feeling mildly blah, and today I managed to get hit by a soccer ball straight to the face which gave me a headache and cut my lip a bit. I still don't have any fannish updates, since my creativity seems to have shriveled up and died. This sucks a lot. I have a metric shitload of stuff to do, and no fricking idea how this all will be done. Another 2 months or so to go until uni starts up. Another month until I'm leaving, and then I won't see my boyfriend for more than two months. Urk.
